Then as now, loden is a popular material in the production of clothing. Our collection, as you experience it today, became known and popular through the loden trousers. As enthusiastic mountaineers, Franz and Irg Steiner were keen to produce functional clothing for their ascents. Even today, loden is said to have a multitude of properties that have earned it the nickname of functional all-rounder in the textile sector.
