Located at the foot of the Dachstein, in the inconspicuous town of Mandling, the company has been producing high-quality loden fabric for over 130 years. Sustainable products are created with lots of love, skill and traditional craftsmanship. Come with us on a journey at Steiner1888 Wool World.

You will be guided through the manufacture using multimedia: 3D cinema, sensory stations, info monitors & an expert guide make the tour into an exciting experience.

Our shop offers lots to discover. Here, you can check our finished products. Perhaps you will also find a woolly souvenir or two for loved ones at home?

Our shop is also home to the Steiner1888 Cafe. You can relax with homemade cake and coffee. Of course, there is also a selection of cold drinks to quench your thirst.

The old walls of the manufacture

Come and take a look behind the scenes on a guided tour through the old walls of the manufacture, where you will get a "feel" for the positive properties of wool, which are not only found in Steiner1888's own interior and fashion collections, but also in many famous fashion brands around the world: Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Jil Sander and Yves St. Laurent all trust the fabrics made at this local loden factory.
